Aimpoint Micro T-1 4 MOA Night Vision Compatible Sight Review

Aimpoint Micro T-1 4 MOA Night Vision Compatible Sight

Size and weight matter when it comes to firearms, given that the success of your aim are highly dependent on the strength and endurance of your grip. The grip, in turn, is determined primarily by the quality of the equipment you have on hand. This is exactly what they had in mind when they devised the Aimpoint Micro T-1 4 MOA Night Vision Compatible Sight, a lightweight and compact aiming system that does not compromise function in lieu of form or design.

Features:

Getting a good visual could very well be the difference between life and death, which is why it is important to make sure that you have a reliable aiming system with you in order to minimize risks. This particular model counts on unlimited field of view and eye relief, a sturdy structure which is highly adaptable to extreme conditions, a mechanical switch, which permits speed and dependability, as well as compatibility with most generations of night vision devices.

In addition to what has already been mentioned, this model also has a mount, which is hinged to the sight body, thereby enabling effective recoil absorption, minimizing damage for the device. There are also provisions for adjustment as far as windage and elevation are concerned, making it more flexible for rough terrain. Installation is easy, thanks to the protective caps, which easily fit the holes on adjustment screws. Moreover, it could be used independently or in tandem with other vision optics gadgets.

Pros and Cons:

The main advantage of this model has always been its compact exterior and its lightweight nature, which means less weight for the entire firearm as a whole. As such, precision and accuracy are not sabotaged by too much unnecessary weight.

As for the drawbacks, there are not so many, and its only known defect so far is how the battery cover tends to loosen up due to the tension, although this could easily be remedied by tightening the bolts again.

Conclusion:

The Aimpoint Micro T-1 4 MOA Night Vision Compatible Sight is the perfect companion for your firearm, if you want to be able to retain accuracy and precision through the help of a visual aid that does not weigh too much, and which gives you a better grasp, not just of the equipment, but also of the situation at hand through the powerful visuals you see.

Burris Eliminator Laser Scope Review: Your Next Rifle Scope with Rangefinder Built In

When you are all lined up and ready to take a shot, you don’t want to blow it by figuring out the wrong holdover. Even better would be to not have to calculate a holdover at all, and it is possible with the Burris Optics Eliminator Laserscope. The Eliminator is the most advanced rangefinding scope on the market, and for under $1.000, it can be yours. While not cheap, this scope is worth every penny, especially if it helps you get your next big shot with success.

How it Works

The Burris Optics Eliminator Laserscope is essentially a scope, ballistics calculator, and rangefinder all wrapped up in one little black tube, complete with etched skull graphic. The first step in using this gizmo is to set it up to match your ammunition. Next, you use the rangefinder to aim at a point that matches your trajectory. Using a red floating dot on the reticle, you then zero in on your shot. In other words, you can line up your shot in the middle of the cross hairs, and then raise or lower your gun so the red dot is centered on your target. The red dot will be customized to your ammo, ensuring an on-target shot every time.

Programming

To program the Eliminator, simply push the main button on the left of the scope twice until you get three dashes. Next, hold the main button and the forward arrow for several seconds to enter setup. Select yards or meters, sight-in distance, and a drop number, and then you are ready to aim and fire. Programming details are stored in the scope for convenience on future shots.

Design

Weighing in at 26 ounces with mount and battery, the Eliminator is designed for a low profile mount on your gun. The scope itself may not be the most flashy or attractive unit on the market, and the skull etching is a bit silly, but make no mistake: this scope came to play, and it will impress you with its precision and ease of use. It is a 3.5x10x40 mm scope with a laser accuracy of plus or minus one yard. Eye relief is 3.0 – 3.5.

Other Options

The Burris Optics Eliminator Laserscope is the most affordable of the line, but there are higher end models, including the Eliminator II and Eliminator III. The Eliminator III has a ridiculous range of over 1200 yards with accuracy at all magnifications and a sleeker design than the original. Of course, these both come with higher pricetags, with the Eliminator III breaking the bank at about $1500. Whichever you choose, you will be amazed at how easy these scopes are to use, and you will fall in love with the technology.

If you are looking for all in one convenience and technology that is second to none, give the Burris Optics Eliminator Laserscopes a try. While none of them are cheap, the original Eliminator is priced under $1000, and it will more than pay for itself in results.
